WASHINGTON — The Atlantic 10 Conference tabbed Richmond senior Davis Wiley as its Under Armour Men’s Tennis Player of the Week and his teammate Nathan Germino as Rookie of the Week. Richmond junior Lucy Webber claimed the Women’s Tennis Player of the Week award and Dayton freshman Baby Jordan earned Rookie of the Week honors. The league announced the awards on Tuesday for matches played from March 2 to March 8.
 
Wiley went a combined 6-0 across all his matches last week, all at the top positions in the lineup. Wiley helped the Spiders defeat Campbell by earning a 6-3, 6-4 singles victory, winning alongside Cole Brashear at the No. 1 doubles spot as well. The Arlington, Va. native accounted for both of Richmond’s points in a 4-2 loss to James Madison, earning another doubles victory with Brashear before taking down Esteve Augusti, 6-2, 7-6 (3) in singles. Wiley concluded the week with a straight-set victory against Randolph-Macon’s John Paul Zano.
 
Germino went 2-1 over the course of the week for Richmond. After dropping a three-set singles battle against JMU, the Valrico, Fla native bounced back with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Randolph-Macon’s Winston Chapman at the No. 3 singles position. He also earned a 6-1 doubles victory in the latter match alongside Charlie Burdell on Court 2.
 
Webber posted a strong week for the Spiders, going 2-0 in singles and 1-1 in doubles. The London native helped Richmond earn a 6-1 victory over Campbell with a straight-set singles win over Ilouna Aneca 6-3, 6-2 on court four before adding a key comeback victory at Cal State Fullerton 6-3, 6-2 at the same position.
 
Jordan paced the Flyers by going 3-1 in her matches, winning both singles challenges. Jordan earned a tough 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 victory at the No. 3 singles slot against Cleveland State, before defeating Northern Kentucky’s Sydney Zakic at the same position. The Huntington, W.Va. native also picked up a doubles victory on Court 2 against NKU.
