WASHINGTON — The Atlantic 10 Conference tabbed Richmond senior Davis Wiley as its Under Armour Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for the second straight week, while his teammate Nathan Germino repeated as Rookie of the Week. Fordham sophomore Paola Dalmonico claimed the Women’s Tennis Player of the Week award and Rams freshman Valerija Kargina earned Rookie of the Week honors. Wiley helped lead Richmond to a pair of wins last week, going undefeated in completed matches while competing at the No. 1 position in both singles and doubles. The Arlington, Va. native opened the week with a dominant 6-2, 6-0 victory over The Citadel’s Noah Van Dyke to help Richmond secure a 7-0 sweep on the road, before earning a straight-set 6-2, 6-4 win over Davidson’s Gregori Hidalgo at the top singles position in a 4-0 Spider triumph. He partnered with teammate Cole Brashear to secure a key 7-6 (7-5) victory at the No. 1 spot against Davidson.

Dalmonico produced a perfect 5-0 record for the Rams last week, going 3-0 in singles play and 2-0 in completed doubles matches as Fordham earned three wins without dropping a single match. The Curtiba, Brazil native defeated George Washington’s Victoria Sasinka 6-3, 6-2 at the No. 2 singles slot, before taking down South Carolina State’s Katerina Marsalkova 6-0 6-3 at the top position later that day and closing the week with a 6-2, 6-3 win over George Mason’s Cenan Liu on Court 1.
