WASHINGTON -- The Atlantic 10 Conference recognized the St. Boanventure duo of graduate attacker Kellen Pulera and freshman goalie Isaac Farmer as its Under Armour Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week, after the Bonnies won their first ever A-10 game this past weekend. Saint Joseph's junior goalkeeper Tommy Gross was chosen as the Defensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season. The awards, announced Monday are for games played between April 21 - 27.
Pulera posted four goals including the game-winner in St. Bonaventure's victory over High Point, scoring all four goals during the Bonnies second half rally from 8-2 down to score a 10-9 win. The Orchard Park, NY native scored the game-winning goal with 3:56 to play to secure the Bonnies first ever A-10 win.
Gross registered a career-high 23 saves in the defeat to #10 Richmond, the second-most saves in this century for the Hawks. The Silver Spring, Md. native recorded a .697 save percentage, adding five ground balls. This is the fourth weekly honor for Gross this season.
Farmer made 14 saves in victory over High Point, adding three groundballs. The Fort Myers, Fla. native allowed only two second half goals and shut out the Panthers during the fourth quarter while posting a save percentage of .609 in the game. This is Farmer's second Rookie honor this season.
